Fountain Valley, Calif., Nov. 25, 2008 – Consumer Guide editors gave the Accent, Elantra, Sonata, Santa Fe, Entourage and the brand new Genesis their "Recommended" stamp of approval in the subcompact car, compact car, midsize car, midsize SUV, minivan and premium large car categories, respectively. "Recommended" status is a designation reserved for vehicles proven to provide consumers with outstanding value. In the past six years, Hyundai has earned more than twenty Consumer Guide "Recommended" or "Best Buy" ratings. To determine value ratings each year, a team of experts at Consumer Guide carefully examines the price, features and performance of hundreds of vehicles in 18 different class segments. These ratings take into account the overall value of a car to establish which vehicles have the best attributes in their respective class. "With the combination of considerable fuel efficiency, state-of-the-art safety technology and our modern designs, it’s no wonder so many of our vehicles rose above other vehicles in their class," said Scott Margason, national manager, product development, Hyundai Motor America. "We are pleased to see so many of our vehicles on the 'Recommended' list, which is a result of our commitment to safety, quality and value of the Hyundai brand."
